MOUNT HAGEN

Mount Hagen is located at the western end of the Wahgi Valley, bounded by mountains whose peaks exceed 13,000 feet. The valley floor is covered in a lush green carpet of subsistence crops of sweet potato, coffee, tea and vegetables.

KARAWARI RIVER, MIDDLE SEPIK REGION

You are in the middle of Arambak country – drums throb, wild birds call and traditional village life continues largely unchanged. Here, there are no roads, just thick jungle, crocodiles and locals poling dugout canoes.

TARI VALLEY, CENTRAL HIGHLANDS

KOKODA TRAIL

Rated as one of the top ten treks in the world, the Kokoda in Papua New Guinea holds a significant place in WWII history and spans 96 km (60 miles) through rugged jungle and local villages.

DIVING

For experienced divers, Papua New Guinea is home to world class scuba diving all year round. The stillness of Tufi's tropical rainforest fjords offers spectacular marine life, sponges and corals, while the crystal clear conditions of Kavieng offer excellent wreck diving, drift diving as well as caves and pelagics aplenty.
